St John Fisher Catholic High School is delighted to welcome you to our Open Evening events on Tuesday 19th and Wednesday 20th October. Being mindful of Covid Safety regulations, we have altered our usual approach to movement around the school site, while still showcasing the wide range of facilities here at St John Fisher.
Please ensure you have read through the following instructions and are happy to comply, before progressing to booking tickets for our events.
Tickets are available for booking through the following links
· Each evening has been separated into 2 distinct events, each lasting 60 mins: a 30 minute presentation, followed by a guided 30 minute walking tour of our site.
· 100 tickets are available for each of the 4 events across the two evening – please only book to attend 1 event.
· The tickets are free of charge.
· Due to limited capacity, we encourage parents/carers to reserve attendance for prospective Year 7 students, hoping to join in September 2022.
· Therefore, the number of tickets is capped at 2 per booking (one parent/carer and one current Year 6 student).
· Please contact school directly to make us aware of any assistance needed to access the school site.

Arrival
· Each evening has clearly outlined timings. To promote the safety of all involved we politely request that visitors do not arrive on the premises before their stipulated arrival time.
· Please note, we cannot guarantee that latecomers will be allowed entrance, due to Covid Safety measures.
· Staff will be on site, both outside the school building and inside, to meet, greet and guide visitors.
· Upon arrival, visitors will be directed to park in the car park directly in front of the school buildings.
· Entrance to the school will be through the main front reception doors.
· Upon arrival, visitors will be registered and directed to the Main Hall for the Headteacher’s address. Seating will be laid out to accommodate visitors in their small family groups whilst retaining an element of social distancing.
· Hand sanitiser will be freely available and visitors will be asked to wear face coverings (unless exempt) whilst they are inside the school buildings.
· The Collins Entrance will be used as the exit point at the conclusion of the tour aspect of the evening.
Tour of the School
· On leaving the Main Hall, visitors will be escorted on a tour of our building in small groups.
· During the tour, each group will be accompanied by a member of staff as well as members of our student leadership team, who will be on hand throughout to answer questions visitors may have.
· The tour will encompass a range of our school facilities, reflecting the breadth of our curriculum offer.
· The time limit of our guided tour means that, while visitors will see a comprehensive selection of our main internal facilities, there will not be any opportunity to remain behind in curriculum areas.
· Curriculum teams will organise their displays to showcase examples of the content of their subject, which - while not interactive - will be informative and interesting.
We hope you thoroughly enjoy your visit to our school and can support the measures we have put in place to keep staff, students and visitors as safe as possible during both evenings.
In the event of changing health and safety advice or an outbreak of Covid-19, we may need to change these arrangements. Under these circumstances we would communicate any amended details or information with parents/carers via our school website. Please make sure that you check the website for updates in advance of your selected open evening.
